Service Testing

All edu-ID Participants (Universities and Federation Partners) can set up a test service on their own in the test federation. 

Test federation

To register a service in the test federation 

1. add a Resource Description in the resouce registry https://rr.aai.switch.ch 
2. In the Section 1. Basic Resource Information choose choose "Switch edu-ID [Test]" as (approving) Home Organisation

Test accounts

According to the edu-ID service terms it is not permitted to create test accounts in the production federation. Test accounts need to be created in the test federation.

Any user can create their own test accounts in the test federation:

https://test.eduid.ch

Test affiliations

Any user can arbitrarly add test affiliations to a test account.
