The Switch edu-ID service currently supports various tools and APIs for services:

| Link Composer | Forms to compose login links for a SAML service that redirects users directly to the edu-ID login page with/without WAYF or a particular flow to add missing attributes |
| Shared Attribute API | An API to set and remove entitlements or membership attributes for users. (This API may be merged in the groups resource of the SCIM API in the future) |
| Service Notifications | A subscription to give SPs the possibility to subscribe to a set of attributes, and then getting a message if at least one of the monitored attribute values has changed for a user |
