A Collection is an advanced playlist. It allows you to group similar items — such as videos, audios, documents, categories or channels.

Think of it like a personalised folder for your favourite content. 

Why use Collections?

• Organise: Keep related content grouped in one place.

• Personalise: Create Collections that match your topics or interests.

• Share: Let others view or collaborate (if enabled).

Who can create Collections?

Anyone signed in can create and use Collections — no special permissions needed.

Here’s how it works:

Creating a Collection:

You can easily create a new Collection by clicking the “Create new Collection” button.

Adding Items:

Once you’ve created a Collection, you can add items to it by going to a video, channel, or documents, open the menu, and choose “Add to collection”.

Naming and describe Your Collection:

Give your Collection a descriptive name so you can easily find it later. For example, “Favorite Videos,” “Top Articles on Marketing,” or “Relaxing Nature Videos.”

Organizing Your Content:

Collections help you organize your content and make it easier to access the things you love.

At Switch Tube, anyone can create and use Collections! We believe everyone should be able to organize and enjoy their favorite items.

Every user who has logged in can create, edit, and use Collections. You don’t need any special permissions or subscriptions to participate.

Create a Collection

1. Go to the Collections page.

2. Click “Create new Collection.”

3. Give your Collection a name and optional description.

Add items

• Open an item (video, channel, document)

• Click the menu (⋯)

• Select “Add to Collection.”

• Choose an existing Collection or create a new one.

Organise content

• Drag & drop to rearrange items.

• Use automated sorting options (title, date, type).

• Items can belong to multiple Collections at the same time.

Edit, duplicate or delete

• You can rename, reorder and update items anytime.

• You can duplicate a Collection as a template.

• You can delete a Collection you no longer need.

• Deleting does NOT delete the original items.

Change cover image

You can personalise each Collection with a custom cover image.

Once you’ve created a Collection, you can add items to it by going to a video, channel, or documents, open the menu, and choose “Add to collection”.

Will deleting a Collection remove the original items?

No, the videos or documents stay on the platform — only the grouping is removed.

What happens if a video inside my Collection is deleted from Switch Tube?

If someone deletes a video that’s part of your Collection, it will disappear from your Collection automatically, but everything else remains intact.

Can I organize content across multiple accounts?

No, Collections are linked to your personal account. You can only collaborate by sharing access.

Are there limits to how many Collections I can have?

There’s no fixed limit.
