At Switch Tube, we’re committed to making our content accessible to everyone. That’s why every video is automatically transcribed – it’s a core part of our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
Accessibility for Everyone:
Transcripts provide a text-based version of the spoken content in a video. This is incredibly valuable for:
- People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing: Transcripts allow them to fully understand and enjoy the video.
- Non-Native Speakers: Transcripts can help clarify unfamiliar vocabulary or accents.
- Learners: Transcripts provide a written record for studying or reviewing the content.
Automatic Transcription Technology:
We utilize advanced AI-powered transcription technology to automatically generate the transcripts. This technology is constantly improving, but it’s important to understand that:
- Accuracy Varies: While our technology is very effective, transcripts aren’t always 100% accurate. There may be occasional errors, particularly with complex terminology, heavy accents, or background noise.
- Human Review (Ongoing): We’re continually working to improve the accuracy of our transcripts through ongoing human review and feedback.
- The transcription is done on our servers, which are located in Switzerland
Searchability:
Transcripts also make our videos searchable. You can find videos based on the keywords spoken in them, making it easier to discover relevant content.
What to Expect:
- Available Immediately: Transcripts are typically available shortly after the video is uploaded.
- Downloadable Transcripts: You can download the transcript in [e.g., .txt, .srt] format for offline use.
We’re Dedicated to Accessibility
We believe that everyone should have equal access to information. Thank you for helping us improve our accessibility efforts – your feedback is always welcome!
