Important Information about the Linux Sync Clients:
On 19 June 2026, ownCloud released Sync Client 7.x. Starting with version 7, the ownCloud Sync Client is no longer compatible with ownCloud Server 10.
To connect with Switch Drive, you must continue using the 6.x Sync Client series. When configuring the ownCloud package repository, make sure that the repository URL explicitly points to version 6.0, as the default "stable" repository now provides version 7.x.
For example, on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, the repository configuration should look like this:
deb https://download.owncloud.com/desktop/ownCloud/stable/6.0/linux/Ubuntu_24.04/ /
Using the version-specific repository ensures that you continue to receive compatible updates within the 6.x release series and prevents an upgrade to an unsupported 7.x client.
