These installation and configuration guides are intended to support you during the installation and configuration process for your Identity Provider or Service Provider in the Switch edu-ID Federation (formerly named SWITCHaai Federation) or the edu-ID Test Federation.
Note: Switch edu-ID remains fully compatible with existing SWITCHaai services. Existing services already supporting SWITCHaai usually don't need to change anything, as long as they don't want to support any of the extended features of Switch edu-ID. Users of organizations having adopted edu-ID still select their organization in the Discovery Service (WAYF). Although they log in via the edu-ID IdP, the service will receive the same AAI attributes as was the case with the organization's former IdP. This compatibility model corresponds to the case "Only accept users who are members of an organization" described on the identity models page.
